Employing twenty members of manufacturing staff on their Bugbooke site, and a further fifteen on sales, the Animal Feed Division is a lively and important part of the Heygate Group.

The division is one of a very few multi-species feed suppliers in the United Kingdom. Producing over 100,000 tons of specialist products in a year, the company has developed the widest range of feeds, specifically formulated for a diverse cross-section of livestock – from pheasants to cows.

One of the key benefits of the Animal Feed Division is the unique Lactose Plant, which produces moist high sugar feed – ideal for genetically superior dairy cows.

Carefully developed and much respected products include Heygates Coarse Rations – a blend of cooked flake maize, formulated for horses, young animals, and especially calves.
